Having a child with congenital heart defects/disease can be difficult. Time spent in the hospital away from other family members, financial hardships from medical bills and time away from work, and the emotional and mental toll it can take on both the child and parent/caretaker. We ensure Heart Families feel supported by providing comfort items and financial aid both locally and worldwide.

Comfort Kits
KHT supplies hospital comfort kits to Heart Warriors and those that are sitting bedside with them while in the pediatric intensive care units worldwide. KHT comfort kits include toiletries, food gift cards, comfort items such as a blanket, water bottle, and teddy bear, fun items for parent and child such as journal, coloring book, crayons, and small activity to do bedside.

financial aid
Having a child with congenital heart defect/disease can be earth-shattering. Not only can it be emotionally and mentally draining, the financial burden that follows can be devastating. KHT provides financial assistance to Heart Families so a parent or caregiver does not have to choose between sitting next to their child while recovering from heart surgery or having to go to work to pay for rent, food, utilities, etc. This is hard enough, so allow KHT to help ease the burden.
