Inaugural Bull & Oyster Roast

The First Annual KHT Bull & Oyster Roast hosted by Fraser Construction at Oyster Factory Park in Bluffton, South Carolina was a huge success! This incredible event raised over $19,000 to help provide support and hope for families affected by Congenital Heart Defects/Disease.
Guests enjoyed an abundance of freshly shucked oysters, barbecue, lots of sides, & live music by Lowcountry Boil Bluegrass Band.

Westminster family turns tragedy into community service  By: Madison Bateman, Baltimore Sun

A Westminster couple took a tragic life event and decided to turn it into something that would help a number of other families struggling through difficult times. A year after losing one of their 2-year-old triplets, Aiden, to open heart surgery, Katelin and Tom Krueger created the Krueger Hat Trick Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to providing financial aid and hope for families affected by congenital heart defects/disease (CHD). According to the organization's website, every year nearly 40,000 babies are born with CHD, which is nearly 110 children per day. Despite these numbers, they say CHDs are not widely known about and research is underfunded. "We needed to do something positive in our horrible situation," Katelin said. "We could lay in bed all day and cry, or we could continue Aiden's legacy and help other people. Read article

A Happy Hour to kick off Krueger Hat Trick's First Annual Golf Tournament! This party wasn't just for golfers and their families - this is a celebration and all were invited! Guests enjoyed local beer, excellent food, and some great music. Thank you to everyone who came out and to our sponsors! KHT raised over $1,800!

Philadelphia Physicians Assistant Olympics  April 2021
The 2021 Philadelphia PA Olympics raised over $25,000 for the Krueger Hat Trick foundation! We are so amazed at all of the love and support we received from each of you! We send the biggest thank you to Katelyn Anderson of Drexel University, who nominated the KHT. We will forever be grateful for you!
The PA programs that participated were Arcadia University, DeSales University, Drexel University, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Salus University, Temple University, and Thomas Jefferson University – Center City, East Falls and Voorhees, NJ campuses.
What is the PA Olympics?
PA Olympics is a yearly fundraiser that started in 2003 by Michael Huber, MMS, PA-C, DFAAPA. Each year, PA programs in the Greater Philadelphia region go head-to-head to raise money for a local community-based organization. The competition culminates this year on April 10. Due to the pandemic, this year’s campaign is a little different from previous years'. In the past, students from each program would come together for a day of medically themed sports activities to raise awareness for the chosen organization. This year, the theme is “The Great Race,” where each program will compete in a scavenger hunt throughout the city of Philadelphia.
Since the event’s inception in 2003, over $167,000 has been raised for various local organizations, which includes: For Pete’s Sake (2020), IM ABLE Foundation (2019), Miracle League (2018), VAST -Valley Against Sex Trafficking (2017), and the Mazzoni Center (2016).
